Staying Alive!!

To me usually change doesn't go over well. But since I've been going to my new school I don't know what could be better! I've only been going there for about a month and I have like 6 people who I like to say are becoming awesome friends. And everyone talks to me. It's nice. At my old school people would just give you dirty looks or talk bad about you behind your back. And today was awesome because I got told that I'm pretty! And there are some people who say that I'm pretty too! That is so awesome, I don't think I'm the prettiest person really but when I hear it from people who barley know me and just totally made my day.

I got some of my grades today and I have a B+ in Statistics! Something above a C in a math class?! That's so amazingly awesome! AND!!! I've aced pretty much everything in my English class! That is just so awesome.

I'm taking an EMT class and recently we have been doing CPR. Me and my new friend Logan got a dummy and we named him Jedediah. Don't ask why we are strange girls. Anywho, we got down the technique and where using those electric pads. Well, our teacher brought in her iPod and said if we do the compressions to the beat of "Staying Alive" it will equal to the total number we should do in a minute(which is 100). So, just imagine a room full of teens giving compressions to weird looking dummies to the beat of staying alive. Pretty strange huh? I think it would be even more strange if you saw someone who needed CPR and you were singing staying alive. I think people would consider you crazy. I'll try to put a picture of Jedediah on here soon. But the memory card in my phone is so small I can't find anything to hold it! Here is what he looks like basically:

Five Words

So, Willoughby had a game on her blog and I wanted to play along. The way it is played is she gives me five words and I have to explain what those words mean to me. My first word is:

Open: Hmmm, way to give me a hard one.lol Well, this might sound a bit strange but the first thing that comes to mind when I think open is "Open says a me" or is it spelled sesame? And I picture a OPEN sign that would normally be in a store window. Open also makes me think of opening up to people or expressing yourself. Which isn't really me. I usually keep to myself until I get to know someone.

Beautiful: The first thing that popped into my head was fall and summer. I think they are so beautiful. During fall the leaves are changing beautiful colors and the temperature is nice. Or summer when the sun is out, the grass is as green as ever, the sky is almost cloudless.

Fair: My mind automatically went to carnival food. I'm always thinking of food. But the fair is where I get funnel cakes, cotton candy, those icee things and elephant ears! It also reminds me of when I was little and went to the fair with my mom. We would go on a ride called the Gravitron. It was shaped like a UFO and you would lean against the wall while it spun and the gravity would force you against it. We would also go on the Tilt-A-Whirl. We could get that thing spinning so fast! Sometimes I miss being younger.

Water: I love it. I love drinking water. It's the most refreshing thing you could drink. I don't understand how some people don't like it. I also love swimming. I guess you could say I should probably be a fish. If I could live in water I probably would. I also love when it rains. Theres just something about it that I like. All this talk about water made me thirsty...

Song: I love music and the word "song" makes me think of how I tend to get a different favorite every day. Today it is Starstruckk by 3OH!3. Songs are so amazing though. Yesterday I was bowling and I was getting frustrated because I didn't have my ball and the one I was using wasn't working well. So, I listened to my iPod and I ended up with a 137. Music is amazing.

Homecoming 09'

So, this Saturday(not today, lol) is my homecoming. I'm going and I'm super excited but super stressed out!! I have a budget of $60 and I need a dress and shoes. Well, here are a few of the dresses I like.

This one is my favorite. But it's $50. And I still need shoes with it. Any suggestions on where to get cheap shoes?

This one is $39.99. I like it but not as much as the other one.

This one is $35.99. It's kinda plain but if I have to get shoes I might have to go with this one.

So, any suggestions on places to get cheap dresses and shoes? I'm going on Tuesday and I could get something completely different from those but I just want an idea of some dresses. Plus I kinda wanted to maybe buy some makeup. I don't wear any but since this is kinda a special occasion I figured why not? Well, have a great weekend!

HARRY POTTER

Okay, so I went searching some more for info on The Wizarding World of Harry Potter(or course!)and this is what I found! This is a better website with more updated information!! I'm hoping it's going to be as good as I think! I want it to feel like I'm really at Hogwarts and I'm going to try to buy everything I can!! Oh jeez I'm wayy to obsessed!!

Anywho, I just wanted to let those of you know about the web site. It's much better. And also there are some video's coming out called Ultimate Editions of the Harry Potter films. There is going to be 5 DVD'S!!! Here is the trailer for the first two! There not coming out with the others for awhile.=[

I AM THE HAPPIEST PERSON ALIVE!

Okay...Are you ready for it? Universal Studio's and Warner Brothers are opening a theme park for the one and only...HARRY POTTER!!!!

Isn't that amazingly awesome??!!! I'm so happy! It's most likely going to open spring of next year! Here is the link to the site. There is supposed to be a whole castle you can go into and the forbidden forest and Hogsmeade Village!!!!! I don't think I could possibly be any more excited. There are roller coasters and the actual candy shops that are in the books!!! I'm going to go there the second I can! I'm saving up money now so I can go because it's in Florida and seeing as I live in Michigan I have to afford to get there and to be able to buy everything there is to buy.lol I'm going to be almost 18 when they open so maybe i'll drive there.lol

To top off all that awesomeness...

I have been trying so hard to stay organized and on top of things this school year and you know what I've learned? It's hard work. But well worth it. I get all my homework done and make sure everything is taken care of. But I don't get home until about ten every night and I get up at 5 Am. I feel like 6 hours of sleep a night isn't really enough but it will have to do. And go me! I got an 80% on my EMT quiz and I'm 99.9% positive I got 100% percent on my vocab!

I also started back in bowling. I'm on a league with Alex and two other people. It's fun and I mostly do it because they have better fries then McDonald's there!! Haha, I did it last year and almost won a doubles tournament. I'm pretty good if I do say so myself. Not awesome though.=[

Richmond Good Old Days...

Are a major fail. I think it has to be the worst fair I have ever gone too. All there is are maybe 12 or so crappy rides, carnival food(which I LOVE), a really small demo derby and figure 8, the beer tent, A small stage that plays local bands and a few local business stands. Now you may be saying, "That doesn't sound so bad." but it is. It's crowded with ignorant people and nothing is fun at all. The only reason I go up there is for something to do rather then sitting at home. But yesterday was kinda awesome and for one reason. We were walking back up to the fair and an old man walked past us with what looked to be his wife and said, "I feel like a salmon......drifting down the river." It was so awesome. I don't think I could have been any happier. We do have fireworks too. There actually pretty good. They got so loud at one point a car alarm went off. The thing that makes me mad about the fair is that I would LOVE to go on the rides if it wasn't that they were so expensive. A wrist band is $20 but it only last until 6pm. Then a sheet of 25 tickets is $22. Each ride takes 2,3 or 4 tickets. That's maybe 6 rides. Although the food is pretty expensive too. But I think I'm going to have to buy a funnel cake or cotton candy today. Or they have this stand and they sell amazing smelling food. It's like hot dogs, sausages and other real food. I wanted some so badly yesterday. It smells amazing. But not as amazing as Willoughby's food of course!!!!!

Accomplishments?

So this was the first week of school. How did it go you ask? It went great! Instead of 6 classes we only have 5. All the classes are 75 minutes long instead of 60 but the day still seems to go by so quick! I enjoy my classes(so far) except EMT is a little graphic. Actually it's kinda gross.lol And I made a few new friends to top it all off!!

Recently I've been trying to teach myself to play the piano. It's quite fun. I'm hoping to get better. I've been going to Youtube and theres this guy called Shawn Cheek. He teaches really well. I can play Fur elise and I can almost play The River Flows Through You. Meaning I just learned to play with both of my hands. It's really awesome. I'm actually proud of myself!

Back to school!

Ugh, I don't wanna go back. But I must. I'm super nervous. Willoughby says I have to try and make new friends or she won't feed me anymore!! But I'm not the friend making type. I usually just sit there quietly. And Alex won't be there for the first two hours. What am I going to do??! I guess I will just have to be strong. I am proud of myself for waking up and getting ready in time. I even have time to right this blog! I did get up at 5 AM though. Well, everyone wish me luck! And if I don't blog soon...I've died from nervousness. lol

So, if you don't already know I love animals. They are awesome. Well yesterday guess who I saw? A baby squirrel!! He was so cute. I named him Simon. At first he was scared of us. Then this happened!!

Oh the people you see!

Yesterday I went to a Starship concert with Willoughby and her family. It was awesome. We were extremely close to the stage and at the end we got to meet Mickey Thomas. But the highlight of my evening was seeing a hooker on the side of the road! I know that might seem weird but you have to know by now that I'm pretty strange. It just fascinates me I guess. Well, Willoughby's daughter asked, " What's a hooker?" and what do you tell a nine year old? Well we told her it's someone who gets paid to kiss people. Good explanation? I think so.

While I'm discussing the people that fascinate me I saw someone else when I went to warped tour. Would you like to guess? A HOBO! I was so excited!! He was sleeping in a park with a wheel chair. I wanted to go give him some money or something!! I know, I know that's weird!

Do you know how awesome it feels to be trusted? Yesterday my dad told me he wanted to go up north. I don't really enjoy it that much so we hardly ever go. Well, it's the last weekend of summer and I wanted to stay home. So, he is trusting me to stay home all alone! I'm usually home for most of the day anyways because he works but being home alone over night is new to me. I used to watch my brother for a whole weekend when I was like 12 but that's because my mom was working and I wasn't completely alone. Being trusted to stay home by my dad is an awesome feeling!

Random.

I'm not sure what to exactly post about tonight so I'm just going to talk about random stuff. If you get lost I'm sorry. You can redirect yourself to here and start again! Anyways, tonight was another football game. We missed the first quarter but my love did good. He didn't play alot and we were wondering why and after the game he told us one of the other team's members slammed into his arm after a play. He has a huge welt on his arm now. But he played awesome in the 4 quarter. They won 46 to 14!! Go Tigers!

Here's a bit of advice. Do you ever have a Sharpie that doesn't work because it dried out? I know how to fix your problem! Rubbing Alcohol!! If you already knew that I'm sorry to get you all excited for nothing. But you just spray or pour very little on the tip of the marker and it starts working again. Best to do this over a sink. If you draw on something with a Sharpie you can wipe it off with rubbing alcohol as well. Or nail polish remover.

A few days ago I was on this website that sells Japanese products. I found ALOT of interesting things. Some I actually wanted to buy like::

There are candy drops that are supposed to taste like burgers. I want to try one so bad. They have so many different flavors. Like noodles, sake and other random foods.haha

They also have something called a wiener shaper. Apparently you put a hot dog or mini hot dog into a plastic mold and it shapes it. There are tulips, penguins, crabs, smiley faces, hello kitty and pokemon characters and a lot more.

Magic diet room sandals. Apparently they help you to loose weight or get your legs and hips in shape. You have to stand on the front of your feet so it strengthens your leg muscles. Pretty nifty!

Last, but certainly not least, an emotion stamp. A stamps face changes depending on the way you squeeze it. I think its pretty cute. And I think I need to buy one now!

I love movies. They are a way to get away from everything and live in someone else shoes for awhile. Just like reading with out all the work!! Me and Alex go to the movies all the time. It can get expensive but if we only go every few weeks it's not to bad.
